    The Genting Highlands Strawberry Leisure Farm is a popular tourist attraction in Gohtong Jaya, nestled directly at town opposite the Mawar and Bunga Raya Apartments. The farm can easily be reached by taking left from the roundabout past Hotel Seri Malaysia (if coming from Karak Highway), and following the road all the way to its end.

    Strawberries are not the only cultivations - mushrooms, herbs, flowers and hydroponic vegetables are also grown here commercialy in adjoining nurseries. Besides the farm's marketplace, visitors can also purchase strawberries by plucking them directly and paying by weight from 100gm onwards - this is a very popular family activity.

    Take to the skies

    Enjoy the crisp mountain air as you make your way up to Resorts World Genting on the new Awana SkyWay. It takes just 10 minutes to ascend from Awana Station to the final stop, SkyAvenue Station. 

    Whether you are on your way up or down the mountain, you would not want to miss the stop at the midway point where you can disembark at the Chin Swee station at no extra cost and explore the Chin Swee Caves Temple and its scenic surroundings. 

    Remember to keep your cable car ticket as you can use the same ticket to continue your journey either to the peak or to the Awana Station. 

    The gondolas fly over key attractions at the resort, giving passengers a bird’s eye view of the surroundings including the site of the highly anticipated Twentieth Century Fox World Malaysia. For a more spectacular experience, try the glass-floor gondola. A breathtaking view of the 130-million-year-old rainforest below awaits. 

    And the good news is if your mobile phone goes flat from taking selfies or photos of the stunning scenery, you can even charge it in the gondola! 

    To reduce waiting time, Awana SkyWay has a top speed of 6 metres per second, and is able to carry 3,000 passengers one way every hour. The 99 standard gondolas and 10 glass-floor gondolas can seat 10 and six passengers respectively. 

    The French-made cable cars now stand at 2.1 metres high instead of the previous 1.6 metres, allowing passengers to get in and out easily. The new cabins are also fitted with special windows and louvres that allow more of the cool mountain air into the cable cars for the ultimate high flying experience. 

    Save on petrol and other car-related expenses, and get the trip of a lifetime. You can leave your car at the Awana Car Park, where almost 4,500 bays are available.

  • Mini Cameron Highland

    Mini Cameron Highlands Garden is an agricultural show farm and shopping arcade in Gohtong Jaya, located slightly before town along the main road from Karak Highway. The garden features strawberry and vegetable farms scattered across a sloping landscape, with fresh crops for sale daily at the market, including strawberries, hydroponic vegetables and mushrooms.

    At the shopping arcade, visitors can browse a wide range of fashion apparel, souvenirs and even a small bee museum with honey products. A restaurant next door serves a wide range of Western food and local dishes, while hidden in the background is a small Malaysian village which showcases traditional homes.

    By taking the insect tour guided by an insect expert, visitors will learn many facts and information during their walkabout in Insect World, from exhibit to exhibit; educating insect specimens and their ecosystem to the visiting group and this is definitely a boon for the young ones.

    Our newest recently added attraction, Butterfly Wonderland, has made many visitors excited as this area is not enclosed but an open playground for butterflies to socialise with visitors walking through the specially built landscaped garden; designed with a waterfall flowing with natural crystal clear water channelled from the highlands. Within the waterfall landscape, visitors can also enjoy the scenic views of Japanese Koi fishes and fresh water turtles that enhance the scenic view of highland serenity.

    World of Phalaenopsis Genting Highlights World of Phalaenopsis Genting not only exports its flowers to high-end hotels and restaurants across Malaysia, but its farm is also open to the public. Visits can be scheduled daily between 08:00 and 17:00, where a local guide shares helpful tips and tricks on growing orchids.   A good stopover between the peak of Genting Highlands and Kuala Lumpur, this orchid farm is surrounded by several attractions within Gohtong Jaya, such as Genting Strawberry Leisure Farm, Goh Tong Memorial Hall, and Awana Skyway Cable Car Station. There’s another orchid farm of the same name that’s located in Ulu Yam, a local town that’s within an hour’s drive from Kuala Lumpur city centre.
